Cost & Budget
$150 per Scout covers the $68 entrance fee to Disneyland, $20.00 meal voucher for dinner at Disneyland and hotel for 2 nights while at Disneyland.

Reminders
- I-pods are ok for in car and in tent only. Keep track of them.
- Each car will have a portable DVD player and movies approved by adults in the car.
- Each Scout should have their own spending money.
Schedule Detail
Leaving on Aug 8th
- Leave Bob’s House at 7:00 am.
- Bring sack lunch for Saturday and any snacks you will need.
- Pack everything in on bag, space is limited.
Crater Lake National Park
We are camping at Mazama Campground. The following activities and hikes are planned:
- Rim Drive – a 33 miles drive along the rim of the crater, we will stop at Cleetwood Cove and hike to the lake. The hike is 1 mile each way with an elevation change of 700 feet.
- Visit Historic Crater Lake Lodge and Sinnott Memorial Overlook. Both contain museums.
- The Pinnacles – eerie spires of eroded ash raise from the edge Sand and Wheeler Creeks.
- Castle Crest Wildflower Garden – 1 mile hike show the wildflowers.
- Godfrey Glen Hike – 1 mile loop trail to overlook of Annie Creek Canyon
- Watchman Peak – 1.7 mile hike Historic Fire Tower overlook of Wizard Island
- Anyone who wants to try swimming at Crater Lake can take a dip in the lake at Cleetwood Cove.
Redwood National Forest
We are camping at Prairie Creek Campground. The following activities and hikes are planned:
- Visit to Gold Bluffs Beach – Elk and other wildlife are right on the beach. Whales are seen off the shore. Swimming and tide pools.
- Cathedral Trees Trail – 1.5 through meadows and by streams, elk are often seen along this trial.
- Fern Canyon Trial – 5 miles past an old mining site with views of the beach.
- Revelation Nature Trial – A chance to learn about the trees and plants of the Redwoods, which a stop at the Museum.
See an Indian dance demonstration by the Tolowa and Yurok Tribes. - Howland Hill Drive – we will drive into the heart of the Redwoods Forest seea old growth and 2nd growth trees.
Returning on Aug 15th
- We will return sometime in the evening. Time depends on traffic.
- We will call when we get back and the cars are unpacked and everything is put away.
